Case Study
Renault
Renault Retail Group is a French multinational automotive manufacturer established in 1899. They have a national network of over 19 automotive dealerships and sell 1 in every 4 Renault in the UK. They are 100%-owned by Renault which enables them to offer the full range of Renault cars, vans and associated products and services at the best prices.
Challenge
Renault wanted to keep their dealership equipment so PARFAS took over the monitoring and maintenance of all Renault’s dealerships with CCTV and Intruder alarms with the view to upgrading sites in time.
Solution
- Installing replacement CCTV to Cardiff with IP Analytic CCTV System (consisting of 30 cameras around the site both internal and external)
- Localised detection and camera upgrades and Monitoring (including fire alarms) and Maintenance for 19 existing dealerships
Result
- Cost savings on security guarding
- Offset costs of vandalism against cost of employing a security guard
- Incidents do happen but are caused by holes in the old systems taken on by PARFAS
- Proved that sites with no CCTV do get hit so installed RSI battery operated cameras on remote car storage sites
Feedback
Because of their motor trade experience PARFAS was a natural choice as a security provider. They also came recommended by Purchase Direct and the fact that they can provide both engineering and monitoring in-house is a great advantage as companies who don’t do both tend to blame each other when problems arise. Initially we didn’t want to upgrade all our kit in one go as the payback argument is weak (not enough theft and vandalism!) so we feel PARFAS do the best they can with the kit they’ve got to work with.
